October Afterglow

October is my favorite month of the year.
The colorful leaves...
The crunch crunch crunch of dry leaves under foot...
Bonfires...
The smell of fireplaces...
The cool, crisp air...
and on...
and on...
and on......

Labor Day Evening on Harriet Island

I took a few minutes to hang out at Harriet Island on this Labor Day evening.  The sun was starting to set and it cast light splashes on the downtown buildings.

I took the liberty of of removing all color from the image except for red and green.  I also applied a 30% gaussian blur and a high pass filter.

35 Double-blue

Lately when I've seen the 35W bridge, it's either been the standard white lights or no lights.  But last night it was electric blue.  I haven't seen it blue for quite a while.  I hope they start alternating colors again.  So far I've seen it electric blue, electric lime, electric mauve, and electric tangerine.

128 Years of Tranquility

I was out and about on this beautifully cool evening.  The Stone Arch Bridge looked so peaceful.

Nice Shoes

When I was out and about today, I happened to notice this chick while waiting for a stoplight.  Nice dress shoes.  I'm betting you didn't wear those when you took your motorcycle road test.
