Germy

 I went to the doc last month for a routine check-up.  

After I put on the gown, I remarked to her that it looked like it had little viruses all over it.  She said they just got new ones and she was happy they were vibrant colors instead of the old gray ones.  Then she looked again and said that they do look like germs.  I countered that at least they weren't red and she agreed that was a good thing.

Later she confessed that now she couldn't not see them as germs.

Mom was always up for a goofy pose.  If she opened her mouth any wider in this one, she'd need a flip-top head.  

There were several years when we would go to the all-church campout together.  Instead of a tent, which could fall victim to late-night shenanigans or downpours, we would sleep in the back of our Volvo station wagon.

Don't ask how I know about late-night shenanigans involving mysteriously deflating tents of fellow parishioners.  In the famous words of Sergeant Schultz, "I know nothing!"
