Unprecedentedly

According to the news, today will go down in the record books as Minnesota's earliest 3+ inches of snowfall and the 2nd largest October daily snowfall for MSP Airport in the past 140 years of recorded weather history.

Minneapolis got 7.4 inches officially at the airport and the suburbs got up to 9 inches.  Happy 2020 – the year that anything can happen.

Looking at the weather forecast, however, it should all be gone by the weekend.

Doubly

A couple months ago I posted a blog about a friend who had passed away.

They say everyone has a twin somewhere.  Well, today we walked into Menards and my friend's fashion twin was playing the piano!  I didn't want to bother him while he was in the middle of a song, but by the time we made it back to the piano, he was gone.  I was bummed, but then my husband spotted him downstairs.

I rushed up to him like a groupie and probably scared the poor guy.  I asked if I could take his picture and told him how much I liked his shoes.  I also told him I like his playing.  (One of the songs he played was Zombie by the Cranberries, which I thought was as classy as he was, and not something you typically hear on the piano at Menards.  The first song I heard him play sounded like Via Dolorosa, which if it was, would prove he has quite the repertoire.)

Boy, those shoes are amazing!  His whole outfit reminds me so much of my friend.  I'm sure if Ron could have met this guy, they would have had a lot to talk about.

Below is a picture of Ron in his suit.

Smattery

There was a smattery of snow this morning that put a powdered sugar coating on the fall foliage.
