Oddity

The other day we saw this strange creation at the store.  I thought it had sheets of metal on it and it was trying to be a storm chaser vehicle.  But then my husband pointed out that the sides were undulating in the breeze instead of being rigid and it looked more like aircraft fabric to him.

Lazy

When our dog is in full-on lazy mode, he will sit like this at our barking station (aka window) with his head supported for prime intruder viewing.  But when an intruder does appear, lazy mode produces a low grade "boof" sound instead of a bark.  If several boofs don't do the job, then barking commences.  It's a very technical process.

It also helps to clutch a Garfield blanket for moral support.

There have been lots of people enjoying an evening stroll around the lakes this week.

Otherworldly

Saw this strange creature shuffling around Lake Nokomis yesterday evening.  It didn't seem hostile, but we decided it was best not to approach.
