I took 2 1/2 minutes out of my morning commute today to take a few pics.

While snow isn't always the most pleasant to drive through, especially during rush hours, it does make for a beautiful landscape.

This isn't the first time I've blogged the piece of Amethyst that I dug out of the tailings pile of the Amethyst mine in Thunder Bay, Ontario.  But I think it's so pretty that it can use a fresh perspective now and then.
