Spring Opener

30 days of images, day 22.  The flower beds in front of the house get radiant heat from the sun reflecting off the house.  A lot of times my tulips and irises are done blooming before neighboring plants even think about blooming.  It's cold, drizzly, and slightly windy this evening.  I think I saw these early bloomers shivering.

The sun had already set and I wasn't using flash, so I had to use ISO 1600 to catch these beauties. I like the extra graininess.

30 days of images, day 21.  I got this little plaque as an early Easter gift.  At first I just glanced at it and set it aside.  A couple days later I read it through.  And then I read it again.  Hey,  (knock knock) it suddenly dawned on me that it was a really nice, helpful poem.  So I thought I'd share it.

Reluctant Model

30 days of images, day 18.  As I was having a girl's night with my best friend, I remembered that I hadn't taken my picture of the day yet.  She was much more willing than the cat, as you can see.
