Luminescently

My friend and I decided to hit Southdale on this dark and gloomy day.  I typically stay away from Bath and Body Works because it's so stinky, but my friend needed some hand lotion.

This dazzling display definitely added some much-needed color to the day.

Penny

I got a new computer today.  While I let it plow through all the data it needs to update, I used my phone to take today's blog pic.

There are some beautiful masterpieces locked up in these crayons.

Glassy

I went out to lunch with a friend today and was amazed by these gorgeous, gigantic bottles.

Arty

When you pass the plumbing aisle at Menards and it looks like an artwork installation in progress.  It looks like something for the 4th of July.

I channeled my inner Thor today and decimated some old stairs.

Limpidity

While visiting a friend's house, I was drawn to these colorful bottles.  The way the light was shining through them was just gorgeous.

Pervasively

At the beginning of the year, I blogged about a bunch of plastic doilies I found while cleaning out someone's house.  Lots and lots of doilies.  Well, I was sorting through things in another part of the same house and found a whole box of plastic doilies!  Rectangle ones, round ones, ruffled ones.  The horror of it all!  It's so ridiculous, I may have to do a whole doily project.  We shall see.

Hospitably

The woman who owns this antique lamp and made the macramé lampshade years ago and feeds you delicious food and makes sure you sign the guest book before you leave has always been a part of my life.  I think this image says "welcome", which describes her exactly.

Pellucidly

Time for a guessing game.  What is this and what is it specifically used for?

City

This downtown-backed chair was at Minneapolis City Hall in the mayor's office.  I don't know where he got it, but it was very nicely done.

Gnarly

I guess I'm still on a light fixture kick.  I'm not sure what this one is trying to convey, but I know for a fact that my cats would love it.

Atomically

Another light fixture I saw at Menards.  I actually like this one.  It reminds me of the structure of an atom or a bunch of planets.

But again, it looks like a real pain to dust.

Haphazardly

We were at Menards today and this light fixture caught my eye.  They call it "Ribbons", but to me it looks like an industrial ceiling fan that spun too close to an immovable object.

I can only imagine how long it would take to dust it.

Doily

I enjoy handmade lacy antique doilies.  This one, however, does not fall into that category.

This is a vintage plastic doily; one of many, many plastic doilies we came across while cleaning out a house recently.  Every one I found went right in the dumpster, but this insidious one snuck under the dumpster and escaped being hauled away.  It has sat in the driveway ever since.  Mocking me.

Apparently,  no one else likes them either, because it hasn't been snatched up yet.
