Unintended Hokey Pokey Trike Dance

Last week I was trying to take a selfie using my phone camera timer delay.  I tried several different poses until I got one I liked.  What I didn't realize was that my phone didn't take just one image for each timer.  It took 10 photos for each timer!  So not only did I have my posed pictures, but also a bunch of images walking toward my phone and bending down to reset my timer.

Put together, they looked like I was doing the hokey pokey or something.  I got a chuckle out of it, so I thought I'd share.

Diamond in the Rough

Saw this old girl on a neighborhood walk.  A lot of lovin' and she could be quite a beauty.

Thrillingly

Always a sight for sore eyes after working late on a Friday.  Waiting waaaaaaaay out at the end of the empty parking ramp for me.

Frolicly

I went for a nice little Thanksgiving cruise on the parkway yesterday.

Stopping first at a gas station, I pulled up to the pump and before I even took off my helmet, a biker guy came over to look at the trike.  He said, "Brother, that's a nice-looking machine."  I took off my helmet and said "Sister," with a smile.  He caught himself and exclaimed "Sister!  Even Better!"

On the way back, I rode through the Bohemian Flats parking lot.  There were tons of geese and as I was leaving, they got stirred up by a guy walking a dog and started flying over me en mass.  I cringed and said "Don't poop on me.  DON'T POOP ON ME!"

The final stop is shown in today's blog pic.  First I made sure there wasn't any goose poop on the trike or me.  Then I took pictures.

Respectfully

It would have been dad's birthday today, this first day of autumn.  I went to the cemetery this evening to pay my respects.

Gelidly

I can hardly believe I talked her into going for a ride that day.  It was October and the weather was brisk.  She was wearing her winter coat, but only sweatpants to keep her legs warm.  You can tell from the look on her face that she was wondering what she'd gotten herself into.

We went for a short ride around the neighborhood and when we returned I asked her if she liked it.  In a screechy voice, she said it was too cold and cold air was blowing on her CROTCH, with extra screechy, wailing emphasis on "crotch."

Best wishes for a warm crotch to all the mothers on this chilly Mother's Day.

Adventurously

Happy Mother's Day!  To my mom, who was always game for adventure, even when she wasn't sure about it.

Spunky

I took this image on Thanksgiving Day 2009 and re-worked it today.  It was 27°F and I drove 100 miles that day.  My feet were popsicles by the time I got home!  I haven't been able to ride this year, so it's nice to reminisce.

Breezy

On this Father's Day eve, I came across this image from 2008.  Russell was part of the motorcycle group I belonged to.  He was a great guy, willing to help anyone.  During a rough patch in my own life, we had a few heart to heart talks, which always encouraged me.

He's gone now, but the memory of this devoted husband, father and friend lives on.

Day of the Dead

More from the 30th Annual Donnie Smith Bike & Car Show.  As you can see from the second shot, this whole bike has an amazing paint job.

Indian Beauty

More from the 30th Annual Donnie Smith Bike & Car Show.  They didn't have many trikes there, but this Indian was beautiful.
