Questioningly

Walleye Watchtower
Look at that beautiful mossy carpet behind it!

It was heavy misting today when I picked up my bestie.  She wanted to go to a gift shop, not far from her home.  While there, we noticed a walking path and discovered this tower with a quirky Walleye weathervane.  I have dubbed it "Walleye Watchtower" since there were no signs on it, there is no name for it on Google Maps and nothing popped up when I was searching the web.

It is surrounded by a shopping mall, condos, a park-like trail and two, possibly man-made, lakes.  It is a mystery.

Epically

The look of utter shock and awe on my face over the size of that Easter basket that was almost as big as me.

Aureity

Ugh!  I need to get out and take more pics.  Sitting here this evening, desperate for a blog pic, I grabbed one of my dad's racing trophies and took a few shots with my phone.  VoliĆ !

Celerity

I am beating the top of the Quik can so fast that the spoon can hardly be seen.  I'm not sure if I was just enjoying making a bunch of noise or if I was trying to beat that can into submission so that I could get to the chocolatey powder.  Maybe both.

I have blogged this image before, but previously it was a scan of a photo.  I found the negative and scanned that.  I like the quality of this image much better than the photo scan.

Flummery

Arby's drive-thru is still in the holiday spirit.  Can you find the 2 objects that led me to this conclusion?

Unreservedly

A few years ago, we were celebrating our anniversary with my "second mom" and her husband, who is pictured here.  I wish I'd gotten a picture of him looking at the camera and smiling, but a picture of him clearing his nasal passages will have to do.

Compassionately

One of the out-buildings on the Burwell House property.  The cottage was one of 15 that was originally built for mill workers but was moved to this spot in 1894 for Mr. Burwell's mother to live in.

Recovery

We had a splendid time with this lady last month.

No Flash, but No Trash either.
I also took several pictures at the time, most of them using flash.  But this one was caught in between flash cycles and was almost completely black.  I typically try to lighten these images before scrapping them to make sure they aren't salvageable.

But I really like this one, now that I can see the image.  I like it even better than the image I blogged about last month.  The only problem – extreme graininess.

New Photoshop plug-in to the rescue!  I recently purchased Topaz DeNoise AI and I figured this would be a great image to see what the plug-in could do.  I'm really pleased with the result!

Easterly

My husband gave me a Peace Lily for our anniversary and I decided it would make a nice blog pic for Easter Sunday.

Gloamingly

Quite a bit colder this Saturday, especially as the sun finishes setting and the wind whips through the trees.  Spent a brief amount of time by the Mississippi River in a little park in Elk River.  I'm really enjoying exploring new places.

Vertically

As I said in yesterday's blog, not only is this location a park, but also a historic site.  This is the Burwell House.  It was built in 1883 for Charles H. Burwell, manager of the Minnetonka Mill Company, and his family.

What strikes me the most about this house is how tall and skinny it is.  All of the windows are narrow and all of the rooms look very narrow.  I'm also wondering what the tower is used for.

I'm going to have to stop again at different times of the year to see the change of seasons.  And maybe come back for one of the interior tours at some point.

Pleasantries

It was a beautiful spring day today.  After all the rain and gloom this week, the sunshine was a welcome sight.  After I picked up my bestie, I looked on the map for a new place to explore.  Just a short distance away was Minnetonka Mills Park, so I headed that way.  When we got there, I found that not only was it a park, but a historic site.  More on that in the days to come.  My bestie isn't fond of having her picture taken, but she humored me.  It was a fun outing.

Slatternly

Sifting through my collections this evening and found this.  I thought for sure I had blogged it before, but I looked through all of my blog pics and didn't see it.   This is one of my mom's coin banks.  As seen in 2010.
