I talked my bestie into showing me a few of her wedding pics today.  I absolutely adore this one!

Celery

Interesting tree.  The shape reminds me of a celery stalk.

Musically

The shadows look like a bunch of blank sheet music waiting for a melody.

Brevity

It's only been a little over a week since I took this image, but I imagine the scene looks much different now.  As soon as the fall-like temps moved in, everything seemed to change from green to fiery overnight.

Naturally

It's good to get back to nature once in a while.

Aristocratically

When I was picking up my friend yesterday, this 1942 Packard Super-8 One-Sixty convertible pulled into the lot.

According to "the Googles", this car was only made for 3 years: 1940-1942.  It has a 356 cubic inch straight-eight engine with 165 hp, which was more powerful than the Cadillac of the time.

Swishy

I literally LOLed when I got home and saw this image.  That is one angry squirrel! The tail swish is hysterical.  "You want a piece of me?!?"

Techie Corner

I wish his face was tack sharp, but oh well.  Better luck next time.

Goosies

There was a whole pile of geese enjoying the afternoon sun in the shallows of the Mississippi River today.

Techie Corner

I took several shots, but I honestly didn't expect them to turn out.  I was hand-holding with my lens zoomed out to 300mm.  I was standing at road level and they were waaaaaay down below at river level.  I was shocked when I got home and found that the geese were in perfect focus.

Shifty

The autumn colors have been really hard to pin down this year.  So many trees are dropping leaves early.  Still some pretty shifting color here and there.

Seaworthy

I went to a friend's birthday party yesterday in her backyard oasis.  There are always interesting things to take pictures of.  She loves mermaids and had this sitting on a table outside.

Restlessly

It was so tiring being a baby.  Mom told me she used to tuck me in like the first photo every night and she would come back to find me like the second photo.

Hilariously

Back in the day, I had a photoshoot area set up in my basement.  Jewel loved to plop herself down in the middle of it whenever I was trying to set up a shoot, because, hellooooo – diva alert.

On this day, I was trying to get everything set up for some pictures the next day.  I decided to compromise with Jewel and make her a test subject with me.

I find them hilarious now.  Jewel was such a sack of potatoes.  She was a good sport with all of the things that mommy put her through.  I didn't care what I looked like either since that wasn't what I was testing.  I look pretty stoned in the lower left photo.  My favorite is the lower right.

As seen in 2006.

My very first digital camera.  Digital cameras were just barely starting to get better.  They still couldn't hold a candle to film.    As seen in 2004.

Plashy

I took this last year in Minneopa State Park.  It's similar to another image I took at the same time and blogged last year.

Resting, but still vigilant.  Eyes trained on the boulevard for intruders.
