Edifyingly
Our church was small enough to have an annual All Church Camp-out at Baker Park Reserve. We would camp Friday night and then have fun on Lake Independence on Saturday. We sure had a lot of fun back then.
In this picture, my future husband is waving at me and his mom and brother are in the background. As seen in 1982.

Congenially
This was a test shot while I was setting up for Christmas pics in 2005. Mom was always willing to be my guinea pig for pictures, for which I was always very thankful. Not everyone is a willing participant for pictures.

Disconcertedly
When your dog is too big for your truck seat.
It may not be an artistic picture, but when I was looking through the archives this one made me laugh out loud. He was completely flummoxed. He drove me crazy most of the time, but I loved him. As seen in 2017.
Happy belated National Dog Day.

Wholesomely
Another pic that my bestie shared with me. Her husband, as a lad, with his mom. What a cute little guy!

Extemporary
This seems to be prevalent in our neighborhood – putting old, unwanted, or broken dishware in the garden. I like it. I'll have to keep it in mind the next time I break something.

Magnificently
The weather was absolutely fantabulous today! After the 90s and 70ยบ dewpoints, I'll take it!
My bestie and I went for a short walk around the neighborhood to enjoy it.

Timelessly
The best pastor I ever had. This was taken when he came to my college exhibition. He was such a kind-hearted soul.
This November he will have been gone 10 years already. How is that possible?

Barely
There was this one time when mom INSISTED that she get a buzz cut and be done with hair, period. I tried to tell her that she wouldn't like it, but there was no telling her otherwise. So, she got it cut off. Then she told me she didn't like it.
"Well, mom", I said. "It will grow back."
And it did. Two months later it was just long enough to make her look like a hipster. She let me color her hair red and it made her look quite young and stylish.
As seen in 2008.

Guilelessly
My husband in his younger years. Such a cutie!
The original print had a lot of damage, so I did a fair amount of retouching work on it. Here is the original:

Eccentrically
This was the kitchen ceiling light cover in my childhood home before the kitchen was remodeled in the early 80s.
It's hand-painted with a quirky motif that is some kind of weird fruit bird. Or at least that's what I've always thought it looks like.
It's traveled with me through several moves. I was hoping to find a spot to put it in our current home, but I accidentally cracked it tonight. I figure what better way to commemorate it than by photographing and blogging it.

Salubriously
The good old days at camp. From the size of the smile on my face, I must have been having a good time.

Inclusively
Another one of my bestie's pics. This is her family – her parents, both sisters, and her husband. She said they treated her husband more like a brother than a brother-in-law.

Matrimonially
A year ago today, my oldest nephew got married. Lovely memories.
I wasn't the official photographer, but I still had a great time taking pictures. These are a few of my favorites.

Penny
I got a new computer today. While I let it plow through all the data it needs to update, I used my phone to take today's blog pic.

Sternly
This little guy doesn't believe for one single minute that grandpa is mad.
I took my first formal photography class in college. This image was part of my third class project, 1989.
My prof wanted me to "activate all edges of the frame", so I experimented with several different shots. There were no digital cameras back then, and I didn't even have a flash for my (first) SLR camera, but it worked out well for grandpa's shaking finger of mock disapproval.

Bee
This morning I let the dog out and happened to look over where the happy baby butternut squash plants were. The morning sun was shining brightly on a whole bevy of beautiful, fuzzy squash flowers.
Deciding not to let opportunity pass me by, I headed out to take several pictures with my phone. As an added bonus, a busy little bee was happily pollinating one of the flowers. There's pollen all over his little leg.

Distractedly
My husband took a photography class in high school. I don't know if his mom was aware she was being photographed at the time or not. Circa late 1980s.

Tropically
A neighbor's hibiscus looks like the tropical variety. It definitely looks like it's been enjoying the tropical weather we've been having.
When I eventually get my flower beds going, I want to get some of the perennial kind again.
