Reachingly

31 Days of Christmas continues.  The tree looks like it's reaching out tendrils.

Decorously

31 Days of Christmas continues.  More from Summit Ave.  This house doesn't have many Christmas decorations, but it looks so imposing.  I could also picture it on an antique postcard or in an old photo album, so that's how I'm presenting it.

31 Days of Christmas continues.  More from Summit Ave.  Merry Christmas!

Lyrically

31 Days of Christmas continues.  More from York Avenue

Techie Corner

The trickiest thing about taking pictures on this street is that all the houses are synced to the music, which means rarely are all lights in a display turned on at the same time.  Oh well, still pretty.  Besides, some choir members always shine brighter than others, right?

Enchantingly

Woofie

31 Days of Christmas continues.  More from York Avenue.  Boy, that sure is a life-like Christmas display.  One would almost think that pupper is alive; comes with realistic sniffing and tail wagging.

Expandability

31 Days of Christmas continues.  My husband and I took an excursion this evening to look at Christmas displays. Both sides of this block are fully decorated and synced to Christmas music.  More to come from this location.

Pricey

31 Days of Christmas continues.  My bestie and I were out and about today and happened upon this ginormous Christmas elephant.  So cute!  Except for the price.  Guess how much it costs.

Scrumptiously

31 Days of Christmas continues.  As seen on the way home from work this evening.  When I saw it from a couple blocks away, I thought it looked like a giant ice cream cone.

Bully!

31 Days of Christmas continues.  My friend, Bully!  As you can see, this Christmas present was a big hit.  I loved riding Bully.

Copies

 31 Days of Christmas continues.

Techie Corner

Typically when I edit images, I see little thumbnail squares for the editing tool I have selected.

While editing a picture of Romeo in an elf's hat this evening, I laughed out loud when I glanced at the thumbnails.  Since I had removed him from the background of the image, my thumbnails are just tiny Romeos in various shades of color.  The geek in me thought it was too funny not to blog.

Radiatingly

31 Days of Christmas continues.  I was on a bit of a wild goose chase this evening, but I saw the pretty red lights and had to stop for a pic.  It looks like the trees are on fire.

Concernedly

31 Days of Christmas continues.  He drove me crazy, but he was such a good sport with some of my wardrobe enhancements.  Even if he did look a bit worried.

Bearably

31 Days of Christmas continues.  The cafeteria at work has a nice Christmas display.  I've always liked the Coca-Cola bears.  I wanted to give it a big ol' hug, but I didn't.

Theatrically

31 Days of Christmas continues.  A Christmas program from long ago.

I'm guessing this was a dress rehearsal because one little girl still had curlers in her hair.  Some of my friends may recognize the girl in front of the American flag.

Keenly

31 Days of Christmas continues.  This is a companion image to yesterday's blog.  Now that the presents are open, I can't be bothered to look at the camera.  I've got some important block business to do.

31 Days of Christmas continues.  So many things for a baby to be distracted by.

Larky

31 Days of Christmas continues.   It wouldn't be Christmas without a goofy picture of mom.  As seen in 2004.

Royalty

Continuing my "31 Days of Christmas" celebration.  I'd have to say that this was the happiest time of Jewel's life.  She had mommy all to herself, her wildlife viewing station, safaris to the pond, and her Christmas tree to lounge under.  Her Royal Highness had it all.  As seen in 2013.

Slaphappy

How can it possibly be December again already?  But it is.  And that means – my 8th annual "31 Days of Christmas" blogs!  This guy looks pretty excited about it too.  And he could probably use a few Christmas cookies to put some meat on his bones.

Frolicly

I went for a nice little Thanksgiving cruise on the parkway yesterday.

Stopping first at a gas station, I pulled up to the pump and before I even took off my helmet, a biker guy came over to look at the trike.  He said, "Brother, that's a nice-looking machine."  I took off my helmet and said "Sister," with a smile.  He caught himself and exclaimed "Sister!  Even Better!"

On the way back, I rode through the Bohemian Flats parking lot.  There were tons of geese and as I was leaving, they got stirred up by a guy walking a dog and started flying over me en mass.  I cringed and said "Don't poop on me.  DON'T POOP ON ME!"

The final stop is shown in today's blog pic.  First I made sure there wasn't any goose poop on the trike or me.  Then I took pictures.

Hideously

I was at the store earlier this week and saw this.  This is one of the most frightening Thanksgiving cakes I have ever seen.  That's a "hard no" right there!

I hope you have a succulent, tasty Thanksgiving – everything this cake isn't.

Modesty

The only turkey in this house is me.  Modesty – I have none.

Bouncily

I wasn't jumping on the bed.  Honest.

Prosperously

When I was still living with my parents, I used to have a bedraggled coleus plant.  It didn't get much sunlight, which caused its colors to be very washed out, almost to the point of being only green leaves.

But every spring, I would take a few cuttings, put them in water until they grew roots, and then stuck them in a planter outside.  The bright, sunny days would bring out the best in those plants and they looked beautiful.

I should start doing this again.

Circa 1988.

All the leaves have blown away now, but photographs allow the beauty to remain.

"Come on, mom!  It's cold!"  Mom used the dining room table as a changing table for little me.

"I. Am. Speed."  Romeo loved running around the yard.  Especially if there was a red dot to chase.

Irony

The fact that he is wrapped up in a Garfield blanket is quite humorous.

Photography

Back in 2010, a friend and I got together and took pictures.  We had a great time!  Here are some she took of me that documents the Pentax camera I used to use.

Smiley me again.

I love working with these large negatives.  I wish my mom never quit using this camera.  Instead, she replaced this with a 110 camera.  Cry.

Genially

An old picture from my Polaroid shooting days.  I have fond memories of these lovely ladies.  As seen in 1982.
