Ferocity
The illusive Tyrannosaurus Cub Cadet. Recently thought to be extinct, but new photographic evidence shows that's not the case.

Effigy
Here are three shots of a very detailed welder at the same spot as yesterday's blog. Maybe it's a self-portrait of the artist.

Maternally
Isn't this the cutest mama and baby elephant you've ever seen?
You never know what you'll see when you go for a drive. We saw several interesting things yesterday. More to come.

Consequently
Our post-riots neighborhood Walgreens shopping experience.
Reduced to a prescription pick-up spot in the parking lot until the store can be rebuilt. Just an empty lot with a fence right now.

Roundly
Someday I will get my own flowerbeds going again, but until then, I can admire my neighbor's flowers instead.

Spatially
During my trip to Hastings on Monday, I walked by this boutique. The fancy dress? shorts? outfit in front caught my eye. It reminded me of something that would be worn in the "roaring 20s." Then I noticed all the clouds reflected in the windows and the juxtaposition inspired me to take a couple shots.

Governmentally
This beautiful building was built in 1871. Since 1993, it's been home to Hastings City Hall. Before that, it was the Dakota County Courthouse.
The dome was installed during a renovation in 1912.

Exteriorly
Three more façades from Mankato's Old Town district. This one was built for Wenzl Huettl's tailor shop in 1891.
This one was built for Bernard Koehler's Boots and Shoes shop in 1888.
I wasn't able to find information on this building.

Exceptionally
According to an Old Town brochure, these storefronts were built between roughly 1877 and 1910.
Dramatic sky courtesy of an EF-0 tornado-producing storm that passed by a few miles from here a couple hours before we arrived last Saturday.
I love the exceptional craftsmanship and detail of old architecture. Even in its deteriorated state, it looks beautiful.

Unprofitably
The Seppmann windmill, completed in 1864, at Minneopa State Park. A tornado destroyed its arms in 1890, but they were never replaced because windmills were no longer profitable to run.

Impendency
A storm blew through while we were driving through the Bison enclosure at Minneopa State Park. The bison decided it was in their best interest to head to the nearest trees for shelter instead of posing for more pictures.
Techie Corner
I got some close-ups with my DSLR, but it was getting so dark that the images were all blurry. Took this one with my phone.
