Variety
I was looking through old matchbooks this evening and found this. I know I never went to the Carlton, so this was either something I found as a kid or someplace my parents went for a company Christmas party.
If that address looks familiar, it's because this popular venue was located where the Mall of America sits now. The Carlton Celebrity Room opened in 1979 and closed in 1986.

Dexterity
This just in, a basketball star with three arms successfully blocks a rival player.
Digging in the archives again. Still looking through my father-in-law's slides from his school days. Circa 1964. Photo scanned with Epson V600.

Cousinly
Digging in the archives again tonight. My cousin and I at Grandma's house. She has my Raggedy Ann doll and I have her doll. I don't remember if I was ok with that or not.
Also a good shot of one of my grandma's lamps. The table it is sitting on is also part of the ensemble, as you can see from the portion of the pedestal base that is visible. It fascinated me as a kid.
Techie Corner
I love the quality of the old Kodak safety film 2x2 negatives. I wish my mom had never switched to 110 film.

Peculiarity
One of my turkey friends was hanging out at the shopping center tonight, as usual. I pulled up and parked because at first, it looked like Turkey Lurkey (TL for short) was dead, but in reality, he was just stuffing his face with birdseed and bread that someone had put out for them.
When TL finally looked my way and saw me roll down my window, he decided to come over and investigate. We had a nice chat and then he sat down next to my truck and submitted to a photoshoot. I swear turkey heads are so peculiar. They look like some sort of space alien!
When I was ready to leave and head to the pet store, TL continued to sit. When I finished at the pet store and drove back around, he was still sitting. I don't know where they go for shelter, but hopefully someplace warm.

Filmy
Tonight I took a trip in the Wayback Machine to 2004. Wow, talk about the memories. This was just one of many printing stations at Proex Central Lab. We processed a lot of film back then!

Parky
It was a beautiful commute this morning. The trees were flocked with fresh-falling snow. I wish I would have been able to stop and get more photos, but I only had time for a couple quick snaps.

Disapprovingly
I don't think Ocean enjoys shining like the sun in her mom's bric-a-brac. Mom better sleep with one eye open.

Alertly
Digging into the archive again tonight. This was an outtake from a photoshoot on the same day as last night's image. I don't think he was expecting the camera flash to be so bright.

Felicitously
I dug into the archive for tonight's image. This was taken 10 years ago today as part of a photoshoot of my former pastor and his lovely wife.
At the time, he had been recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and I wanted to get some nice shots of them together before that evil cancer ravaged his body.
The only picture I ever regret is the one I don't take.

Pondy
It was so warm on Sunday that this picnic table became part of a water feature. All it needs is a fountain in the middle.

Foolishly
Sunday it was around 44°F. On our way back from Ellsworth, WI, we stopped briefly at Point Douglas Park on the Hastings, MN/Prescott, WI border.
What you're seeing is the St. Croix River just before it merges with the Mississippi River. The park (where I'm sitting at a picnic table and using a zoom lens) is a peninsula that squeezes the St. Croix through a narrow channel into the Mississippi.
This guy was ice fishing on the St. Croix, right where the "squeezing" begins. I'm guessing that's why the ice wasn't covered in snow like further back. There were small patches of open water not far from him and a huge stretch of open water, out of frame, where some sane people were fishing from a boat.
Here's a wider angle shot. The guy is the tiny black dot, smack-dab in the middle.
