Trendily
Back in the days when women wore fancy hats when they went out. One of my mom's hats from the 1950s.
Techie Corner
Trying out the camera on my new iPhone. Still not as good as a DSLR at 100% resolution, but getting better. I'm liking the portrait mode.

Grabby
Being the first day of fall, I sifted through some slides from the 1980s having a fall theme. Then I saw this one with a random cat playing with a rope railing. Like, don't mind me, human, I'm just over here doing my thing. Silly kitty.

Laboriously
Busy Bee.
Techie Corner
Not bad for hand-holding and no macro filter. I was relying heavily on my flash freezing a nice crisp image. I wish the petal wasn't in front of it's face, but I'm glad I got the pollen on it's fuzzy little legs.

Ephemerally
I like the bokeh in the background. I can envision the butterfly partying on the dance floor at a disco.
Techie Corner
I wish I could have gotten the butterfly tack sharp, but I only had a few seconds before it fluttered away. I managed to get one under-exposed image that I had to bring back in post-processing.

Limpidity
While visiting a friend's house, I was drawn to these colorful bottles. The way the light was shining through them was just gorgeous.

Pervasively
At the beginning of the year, I blogged about a bunch of plastic doilies I found while cleaning out someone's house. Lots and lots of doilies. Well, I was sorting through things in another part of the same house and found a whole box of plastic doilies! Rectangle ones, round ones, ruffled ones. The horror of it all! It's so ridiculous, I may have to do a whole doily project. We shall see.

Groovy
Slow down, you move too fast
You got to make the morning last
Just kicking down the cobblestones
Looking for fun and feelin' groovy
Ba da-da da-da da-da, feelin' groovy
You got to make the morning last
Just kicking down the cobblestones
Looking for fun and feelin' groovy
Ba da-da da-da da-da, feelin' groovy
Hello lamppost, what'cha knowing?
I've come to watch your flowers growin'
Ain't'cha got no rhymes for me?
Doot-in doo-doo, feelin' groovy
Ba da-da da-da da-da, feelin' groovy
I've come to watch your flowers growin'
Ain't'cha got no rhymes for me?
Doot-in doo-doo, feelin' groovy
Ba da-da da-da da-da, feelin' groovy
I got no deeds to do,
No promises to keep
I'm dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep
Let the morning time drop all its petals on me
Life, I love you
I'm dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep
Let the morning time drop all its petals on me
Life, I love you
All is groovy

Exterminatory
Dalek training school. Ok, I guess you have to be a Doctor Who fan to think this is funny. While we were touring the newly rebuilt Minnehaha Academy last month, my husband commented to me on the "Dalekesqueness" of these classroom chairs.

Spoky
They sure don't make them like that anymore, which is probably a good thing. Another from the Hastings Cruise-in car show.

Oldy
I wish I could have gotten my dad to go to some car shows with me. He would have loved seeing all the cars from his younger days. Oldsmobile was his favorite.
