Cherry
I wouldn't mind taking this '29 Chev for a spin either. Another from the Hastings Cruise-in car show.

Britishly
I remember someone I went to school with telling me all the problems he had with his MG. By the time he told me about it, all he had left was the grill emblem. Kinda reminds me of my Mustang saga. I might have to blog about that sometime. At least this one is in pristine condition, at least on the outside. Another from the Hastings Cruise-in car show.

Frightfully
More from the Hastings Saturday Night Cruise-in car show. I wouldn't want to meet up with this bad boy in a dark alley.

Glamorously
Stumbled upon the Cruise-in car show in downtown Hastings on Saturday. Saw this lovely Pontiac Silver Streak.

Pushy
Just a gorgeous day today, cool and breezy. The breezy part was giving this tug a hard time as it pushed a string of barges into the lock.

Ornately
I loved the pattern on my mom's tv trays. Unfortunately, these trays were metal, so they started to rust after decades in storage. I chucked them a few years ago, but took a pic to remember them by.

Resurrectionary
This evening was the open house celebration for the rebuilt Minnehaha Academy, two years after a gas leak explosion destroyed a large section of the original buildings.
I think they did a good job of memorializing the past with pieces of the old buildings on display, including the cornerstone.
I also like the forward thinking in the new buildings. They put a lot of thought into making it functional and still very aesthetically pleasing. It reminds me a lot of a college campus.

Buzzy
Another from the archives. Some people may say that it's not the size of your chainsaw that counts, but how you use it. I beg to differ. It's definitely about the size of your chainsaw. As seen in 2005.

Distastefully
There was a Cicada lounging by my vehicle this evening. I took a few pics, but none turned out very well, so I decided to have a little fun.
I turned one of the images into some creepy Cicada wallpaper. Wouldn't this be great in, say, the bathroom? No? Oh why not?

Kindheartedly
My great aunt and uncle. Such a sweet lady, soft-spoken and kind. He always looked gruff, but he had a dry sense of humor that you could miss if you weren't looking for it. As seen in 1982.
Techie Corner
Digging through my stinky old Polaroids again. This one started out pretty dark, but I managed to bring it back to a more normal exposure.

Fearsomely
Another from the archives. This is Robosaurus, a semi that transforms into a 40 foot tall, 31 ton, fire-breathing, car crushing T-Rex. As seen at Monster Jam, January 2002.

Nostalgy
This image is from an impromptu car show that used to meet on Kellogg Boulevard in St. Paul. In the background, the owners of this beautiful car were celebrating their 42nd wedding anniversary. As seen in October 2002.
Techie Corner
B&W photo scanned with Epson V600. I was still shooting with film back then!
I wish I would have gotten the passenger side of the car and the bumper in the shot. I also wish I would have angled so that both the "bride and groom" were fully visible. (The bride is partially hidden behind the car.) I do remember at the time being stressed about the post being in the way of their celebration table.

Hospitably
The woman who owns this antique lamp and made the macramé lampshade years ago and feeds you delicious food and makes sure you sign the guest book before you leave has always been a part of my life. I think this image says "welcome", which describes her exactly.

Chicly
When I was a kid, my mom would let me style her hair into strange hairdos. This is one of them. As coiffed on November 2, 1982.
Polaroid picture scanned with Epson V600. I wish I never had a Polaroid phase. Low-grade prints that still smell of developing chemicals 37 years later. But at the time, it was like a magic show watching the prints develop.
