Reminiscently

When I was a kid, we would do a lot of baking at Christmas.  Mom started me out pretty early using the regular oven, so even though I got an Easy Bake Oven when I got a bit older, it was really just a novelty because I already knew how to bake in the real oven.

Back in those days, Lawry's Seasoned Salt came in the glass bottle with a metal screw-top lid pictured in today's blog.  Mom read a helpful tip somewhere that these bottles were good for other things once the salt was gone.  This one has been a toothpick holder ever since.  It still has the plastic shaker under the lid, so you shake it and can easily get one toothpick at a time.  Works great!

I think of my mom every time I use it.

Glitzy

Well, my 31 days of Christmas got derailed this year due to technical difficulties.  I planned to keep blogging, even though we were in the middle of moving, but when I tried to blog from my phone, my app wouldn't work right.  Oh well, I'm back at it now.  Happy Christmas Eve!

Jolly

Santa looks way, way too jolly.  Just as disturbing as Mrs. Claus was in yesterday's post, but in a much creepier way.  Celebrating 31 days of Christmas.

Ghastly

Mrs. Claus.  If this doesn't give you nightmares, I don't know what will.  Celebrating 31 days of Christmas - the good, the bad, the ugly, and in this case, the scary.  The matching Mr. Claus isn't any better.
