Kinetically
More from the 2018 MN State Fair. These girls were kicking it high during the parade. If I tried to do that I would fall over and take the whole row with me.

Gaudy
More from the 2018 MN State Fair. What better way to commemorate my 1800th blog than with a parade car sporting a toilet fountain on the roof, a punk baby with diaper pin earrings, smiling naked Barbies, and a ton of bric a brac?

Generously
More from the 2018 MN State Fair. These ladies were generously handing out free high fives along the parade route.

Melodiously
More from the 2018 MN State Fair. I think the best thing I saw at the fair was the parade. More to come from that.

Enthusiastically
More from the 2018 MN State Fair. We were getting ready to embark on the Sky Glider when the ride operator saw my camera and practically exploded with enthusiasm, "Take my picture! Take my picture!"
My camera and flash were off and I was holding my heavy backpack in preparation for the ride, but he was so happy and insistent that I quickly flipped everything on and snapped a couple shots.

Assembly
It's been 5 years since I've been out to the Minnesota State Fair, but today was the day. I tried to get a lot of images of people getting their fair on.
The french fries were flying out of this place, which keep the workers hopping, but the kid in the back doesn't seem to mind.

Spunky
I took this image on Thanksgiving Day 2009 and re-worked it today. It was 27°F and I drove 100 miles that day. My feet were popsicles by the time I got home! I haven't been able to ride this year, so it's nice to reminisce.

Medicinally
When a former photo lab employer was closing up shop, we had a little photography fun. The owner had this "1st aid" bottle in his desk drawer, which I believe his dad had before him. I thought it looked quite appropriate with the store closing signs in the windows.
I have to say, I think that was the best part-time job I ever had. We got to practice photography and photo editing skills whenever there was downtime – which was most of the time. It was just what I needed at that point in my life.
And no, we did not drink the 1st Aid that day.

Soulfully
I've seen this soulful creature wandering our neighborhood this summer. Tonight it was in our front yard.

Fatty
The Great Minnesota Get-Together starts Thursday. Thought I'd get in the mood with an image from 2011.

Ornery
Someone give him a banana...quick! This was from a trip to the zoo in 2014.
It's severely out of focus so I didn't blog it at the time, but that look is priceless so I decided to blog it anyway.

Enjoyably
This was taken in 2007 and I just "found" it again.
The highlights were blown out so bad there was no recovering them, so I stylized a bit instead. It wasn't the sharpest focus either, but I really like all the people enjoying the lovely cascading water so I decided to use it anyway.

Trajectory
I took this 10 years ago and it's still my favorite monster truck photo. I'm going to have to get to a show again one of these days. Monster trucks are cool!

Quirky
We grow our bugs big and scary in Minnesota. From a trip to the Franconia Sculpture Park in 2008 and re-worked today.

Greenly
This male Common Conehead Katydid was hanging out in the parking ramp at work on Friday. It reminds me of a tiny ear of corn with legs.

Spoofery
Nailed it! It has been a few weeks since we drove past here and I just about died when I saw this mural. I think a sculpture reproduction of this would be a great addition to the Walker. Right next to the Spoonbridge and Cherry.

Really?
The look my mom used to give me when she questioned my ideas/motives/sanity. Thanks for the squinty eye, mom. A pic from the "lost" archives, re-worked today.
