Recreationally

More from Open Streets - Lake + Minnehaha.  This carefree mom was chatting away while her daughter was planning her trajectory to freedom.  Before mom was even done talking, daughter was off like a shot.  She was no match for mom's awesome roller skates, however.

Snazzy

Open Streets - Lake + Minnehaha is going on today.  Got out for a bit before my knee protested.  That's a pretty snazzy looking bicycle!

Disturbingly

On my way to work the other day, I saw these googly-eyed imps staring at me from their hot pink enclosure.  It was more than a little disturbing.

Imperturbably

I'm feeling a bit nostalgic this evening.  This is a copywork scan of my favorite pic of our neighbor's cat, Leo, nesting in a leaf pile.  He was an awesome cat and I have fond childhood memories of him.

Periphery

I enjoyed seeing different cloud formations on the trip home.  This ring of clouds between heaven, earth and sea fascinated me.

Athletically

As the plane was getting ready to land Sunday night, I suddenly realized we were flying over the place I've spent the last 8 weeks at physical therapy.

This aerial view shows Twin Cities Orthopedics, the "little" building behind the football-shaped parking lot.  It's so new that they have been working on the finishing touches the whole time I've been going there.

I've also been watching the progress on the other buildings, which are part of the Vikings training facility, including the Performance Center, Training Haus and Vikings Museum.  The dug up areas will be the homes of future buildings in the multi-year project.

Rangy

I really enjoyed the view as we were descending into Minneapolis/St. Paul International today.

I will have to start keeping wing position in mind when making flight plans in the future.  I wish I could have gotten this shot without the wing in it.

Ethereally

I left on a jet plane last night and didn't have a blog set up for today, so this will have to do, even though it's blurry.  It was a beautiful view over the Minnesota River Valley as I was heading out.

Texturally

Love the colors and textures of the hot springs at Yellowstone.

Crazy

I don't know what was in that dirt, but it had him foaming at the mouth and everything.

Meanderingly

My BFF's husband lost his battle with cancer yesterday, but in 2016 we spent a few days with them and they took us around to see the sights of Pennsylvania.  This is the two of them while we were exploring McConnells Mill State Park.

Tacky

Why bother taking the time to fix the whole stoplight when just tilting the top lights down will do?

Flashy

I probably won't see fireworks tonight, but here is an image of St. Paul fireworks from 2010, since they are being stingy and not having any this year.  Happy Independence Day!

Independently

On the eve of the 242nd anniversary of our independence, a little red, white and blue to commemorate.  As seen in 2010.

Fancifully

So last Wednesday I documented a billboard going up.  The next day I noticed what appeared to be test images rotating on the newly erected screens.

The curious thing is that each image has a sneaky unicorn pop up in the left corner.  What could it mean?  Is this simply billboard humor? An over-zealous computer programmer?  Or maybe a code for a secret order of unicorns looking to take over the world and popcorn?

I'm including a slideshow of the other images, minus one that I apparently didn't get, but it doesn't matter because it was boring anyway.

Nicely

It got really nice today after the storms went by.
