Ordinary
More from the "lost" images I was talking about yesterday.
There is nothing extraordinary about this image. It was poorly exposed and possibly wasn't even printed at the time it was developed. What caught my eye is that it could have been taken this week in south Minneapolis instead of almost 50 years ago, if it wasn't for a couple of things.
One thing is the antique snowblower my dad is using. I'm not sure why, but by the time I was aware of such things, dad only used a shovel, so this is a rare shot indeed. Not sure why he didn't continue using a snowblower.
And the main thing that shows this isn't a modern view of Minneapolis is the 55 gallon drums being used as trash cans! It's funny how something so simple and mundane can really date a picture.
