Competition
My dad and great-uncle would have slingshot competitions with oversized marbles. Below is their target wall. I actually still have some of the marbles they used. I'm toying with the idea of doing a shadow box with these pictures and the marbles.

Wednesday Tea
I got this cup and saucer and a few other pieces from a friend-of-a-friend. They had belonged to his mother and he was going to put them in my friend's garage sale. He saw how much I liked them and gave them to me instead.

But I Like the Cookie
Life imitating art? You can view the clip from the movie Over the Hedge to see what I'm referencing.
This little black squirrel was sure relishing his delicious delicious cookie!
Techie Corner
I couldn't get a tack sharp image, but it was too cute not to share.

Seven Oaks Oval Park
A block from where I grew up is a huge sinkhole, formally Seven Oaks Oval Park, and informally "the oval" or "the hole." I have fond memories of playing here as a child.
This picture doesn't do justice as to how deep it really is. I might have to try harder to show its depth another day.
It was already platted on this 1903 map. (Plate 47 shows the park.) According to one article I read, it officially became a park in 1922, but I haven't been able to verify that.
