Two Ships Passing

Look carefully in that space
between the top two cross pieces.

There's a person standing up there!

I love that beautiful woodwork!

All!  That!  Rigging!

Ethereal Hula Dancer

Some people need "more cowbell."  I, apparently, need more Passion Flower.  Another from my own backyard.

Passion in My Own Back Yard

The first time I can remember ever seeing a Passion Flower was 4 days ago on a Facebook photography group post by someone who went to the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory. I thought to myself that I should really get over there and take some shots.  But I didn't.

Tonight after work, my husband texted me a pic and asked if I'd seen what was growing in the backyard.  I thought he had copied a pic from the internet, but no, he said it really was growing in our backyard!

This little beauty was hiding under a big fat leaf.  It hasn't fully opened yet, but it is still beautiful and strange.  We think it grew up from the neighbor's side of the fence and there are a whole row of buds waiting to open.  There are some storms coming tomorrow evening, so I wanted to get a few images now, just in case.

Hopefully there will be more flowers later and I can get some shots with my close up filters.  With all of the hot weather lately, they should really thrive.

Sharing some hot, steamy passion with my husband in the backyard.  Doesn't get any better than that!

Roadside Beauty

Traffic was backed up this morning, so what else was I going to do while waiting to exit the cluster?
