Music in Motion
I hadn't really planned on taking pics at the Good Friday service at church this evening, but it just sort of happened. If I had planned it, I could have adjusted for movement, but I actually like the way this turned out. Great service. Looking forward to Easter Sunday.

Neon Lift Bridge
#tbt 2004 – At first glance, this may look like a real bridge. However, it is actually a neon version of the Stillwater lift bridge that hung in a restaurant in Stillwater. I don't know if the restaurant or this work of art still exists, but I love this shot to this day.
Techie Corner
2004 was the year that I bought my first digital camera. It was a five, I say, FIVE megapixel Pentax camera. I was so excited to be dipping my toes in digital waters, so to speak.
To get the image in focus and to get the reflection, I propped my square little camera on a black shiny bar table, which was strategically placed to reflect the neon on its shininess, and used the timer so there would be no wriggles.

Fire Place
There are homeless people who live down by the Mississippi River in the heart of the city of Minneapolis. Some have tarps and tents and make-shift shelters. Some just use what nature has provided.

It's a Doozie
Well, I was looking for something related to St. Patrick's Day to shoot, but couldn't find anything. You'll have to settle for this green '31 Doozie instead.

Silver and Diamonds
My 900th blog!
When I was a young kid, there was a feisty little old lady named Ethel Silver who would come to our church occasionally. She was gruff and easily riled up, but I liked her and she like my friend and I.
One day she gave me this costume jewelry diamond necklace. I was very surprised! I wasn't sure I should take it, but she insisted. I've treasured it to this day and it always makes me think of her and smile.
Number 900 is for you, Ethel. May you never be forgotten.

Watch Your Step
I know people walk down, around and behind Minnehaha Falls all the time. But I'm just not sure-footed enough to do it. Especially when it's slippery and wet.
It may not seem like that big a deal in the above pic, but then there's this:
Can you find him in this image, to the right? If that was me, you could take live video of my plummet and demise down the rocks and gravel and sand and ice down down down down down.
