Afterthought




When I first saw this house as we were driving by, I did a double-take.  Then I had to take a picture.

So I tried to give the builder the benefit of the doubt.  I looked up the property tax info online and found that this home was built in 1983.  I was a little surprised, given the rest of the neighborhood is older.  I was thinking this home must have been built before the house on the end of the block, and that was the reason for this ridiculous front entrance.  So I looked up 3800.  Nope, it was built in 1919.

So, I have come to the conclusion that there is no excuse for this front entrance, other than...
